Welcome to the Sleeper Public Library

 We are now offering e-books and Audiobooks online thru Overdrive.  Click on the Overdrive tab and download it to your device or computer.  Then you can go to our virtual library and download items.  When you are asked for your library card number and password, type in your card number and your password will be your last name with the first letter capitalized.  If you have large fines on your account we will close it until the fines are paid in full.  You can have out up to 5 items at a time.  After 2 weeks the books will be returned to our library automatically.  No more overdues!

Booker's Library Life 

Hi Everyone! 

If you haven't been to the Sleeper Public Library yet then let me introduce myself, my name is Booker Theodorus Sleeper.  I help Miss Barb & Miss Joan at the library.  I have a very important job, I am the official greeter and I take my job very seriously.  If I am busy when you come in I will be around shortly to make sure you feel welcomed here at the library.

I have had some harrowing experiences the past week.  Sunday, Miss Barb was in to take care of me and I jumped on a cupboard door that was open and ended up shutting my paw in the door, it was very painful but luckily nothing was broken.  Tuesday, I was playing in a paper sack with handles and when I went to jump out the handle caught around my neck and I ran and ran but that bag would not let go of me!  Finally Miss Barb caught me and took the bag off and threw it away.  Thank goodness, I don't want that to happen again.  Wednesday I again wanted to help Miss Barb and when she went to put my garbage from my litterbox outside I followed her out.  She didn't want me to go in the bushes but I just had to find out what was in them.  When she tried to get me, the door shut behind her and we were locked out.  So Miss Barb and I walked to her house, only a couple of blocks but it was chilly.  Lucky for us her husband was home and he gave us a ride back to the library with the spare key.  I decided after that to have a quiet day and try not to get into too much trouble.  Well I am going to take a nap now because soon the kids will be in after school and I need to be nice and alert when they come in.  See you soon.

Because we cannot use library funds for Booker we do have a donation box at the checkout area.  These funds will be used for treats, food, litter, treats, shots, treats...you know all the essentials.  Here are a few additional pictures of Booker and what he does during the day:
